The First Trans-Atlantic Flight

These three illustrations were commissioned by Boy’s Life magazine to accompany an article on the first trans Atlantic flight. (Lindbergh was the first solo flight). In 1919 two aviators Alcock and Brown flew a WW I vintage Vickers Vimy biplane bomber from New Foundland to Ireland in just under 16 hours.
