The first of many excellent assignments from Johns Hopkins Magazine. This piece was about an investigative journalist in Washington, the original illustration depicted that individual. I later re-painted the head for a more iconic look. It was created in oils and acrylics on gessoed illustration board and was also recognized in The Society of Illustrators Annual Exhibition.
